How to Choose the Right Jacuzzi for Your Home

Well, let’s admit it, almost every one of us would love having a Jacuzzi in our homes, right? However, few of us actually get the opportunity to have them. When you have a Jacuzzi in your back garden, there’s no need to go to hot springs to enjoy with your family. There’s nothing better than going into a hot tub after a stressful day. There’s no denying the fact that spending time in a hot tub actually takes away stress and anxiety. There are numerous benefits of having a Jacuzzi at home, but you should certainly know the tips to choose the right one for your home;

Location

Before you buy a hot tub, it is important to create a space for it. Go into your back garden, and look for the most suitable space for the hot tub. The area which has the least bushes and trees would be suitable as you won’t have to worry about leaves falling into your Jacuzzi while you relax. Other than that, take the proper size of the space you have, and find a hot tub according to it. Fitting in a big Jacuzzi in a tight space won’t be fun at all. Moving on, check if a rope or garden hose is needed to fit the hot tub.

Size

How big is your family? Do you invite friends and relatives quite often? Will they be using the hot tub? You need to write down the answers to all these questions. A Jacuzzi comes with several seats, depending on the demand of the buyer. There are spas for only 2-3 people, this one’s pretty small. However, if you are planning to buy a bigger one, you can even buy a hot tub that can accommodate 7-8 people easily. You can buy such hot tubs if you have a big family or you love to party. Yet, you need to make sure that the size of your hot tub syncs with the location you have chosen for it.

Type

Hot tubs have different types for different purposes. Stand-alone models or often known as portable hot tubs, are one of the most used types of hot tubs as they are easy to move from one place to another. All operating parts are properly fixed together for their portability. The material used in these hot tubs is usually acrylic, plastic, and fiberglass. Portable hot tubs come in a variety of sizes; you can choose the one that is best for you.

Apart from portable hot tubs, there are in-ground hot tubs too. They look like a pool in your back garden as they are buried into the ground. In-ground Jacuzzis are considered durable as there’s less movement of the hot tub, which is surely beneficial. Purpose

So, why are you buying a Jacuzzi? What’s the actual purpose of buying it? Some people simply buy a Jacuzzi to spend quality time with their family. However, there are people who use it for relaxation. Hot tub therapy is well-known around the world; it is known for reducing your stress level and decreasing the amount of cortisol in your body. Spending some time in hot water increases the amount of dopamine released in your body, which is linked with relaxation and satisfaction.

Some people buy hot tubs for pain relief. Some advanced hot tubs are super therapeutic and can help relieve minor muscle pains. People who suffer from back pain, arthritis, or even sore muscles actually use hot tubs. Many athletes around the world use hot tubs for pain relief. Before you buy a hot tub, make sure you are clear about the purpose of buying it.

Material and insulation

Hot tubs are made from different materials such as Acrylic, Vinyl, and PVC. Each material has its own advantages and disadvantages; you need to look into them properly before making any decision. Hot tubs made with acrylic material are fade resistant and are made of hard plastic. Moreover, they are also available in several colours and are considered durable when compared to other materials.

Hot tubs made with vinyl are not efficient in retaining heat and can easily fade with excessive use of chemicals or too much sunlight. PVC is also a common material used to manufacture hot tubs, but it is not as hard as acrylic and is not considered too durable. Apart from the material used to make the hot tub, you should also see if it’s properly insulated. This is especially important if you live in colder/exposed regions as insulation can play a pivotal role in the overall performance of the Jacuzzi.
