Bedding is an important feature, if you have stains on your bedding, remove and replace them. This doesn’t mean you have to go luxury, but some fresh clean bedding is always a nice touch. There are now some great cheap duvet cover sets that look just as luxurious as their more expensive alternative. If you wanted to add a little bit of lux, you could add a mattress topper, a throw or throw pillows to add a beautiful scene to the bedroom.
Make room for a suitcase
It is so annoying when you go to stay somewhere and you have to live out of your suitcase for the duration because there is nowhere to hang your clothes or hide your suitcase so make sure this doesn’t happen to your guests. Ensure that your guests can hang their clothes and hide their suitcases somewhere so it keeps the room nice and tidy.
If you have a wardrobe, then you will need to clear and clean it out, but other alternatives could be as simple as a chair or under the bed. Keeping their clothes nice is important, so if you don’t have a wardrobe, a simple clothing rack will also be a great addition.

Get them connected
The world we live in revolves around the internet, whether that is for your Alexa, connecting your laptop or simply watching Netflix. So your guests will need to know the password. You could make it easy for them by having it ready in their room in a frame next to the bed. If you don’t have strong wifi, get them a cable so they can connect. You never know if they may need it for an emergency.
Brighten the room up
There are so many ways you can brighten up a room, and there are just as many benefits to it. For one, it makes the room look bigger if you have a small room. Having light walls keeps it fresh and clean too. Alternatively, you could opt for having a range of mood lights around the room. If you have bedside cabinets you could have some table lamps on either side of the bed. If space allows, you could section a part of the room for a reading area with a standing light, a small comfy chair and a side table. This really will make the room feel that extra bit special.
Have entertainment set up
If you have set up the reading area, then you may want to leave out some of your favourite books for them to try. It could also be nice having some travel guides with them so they can plan their stay. Another entertainment item could include a TV for them to watch before they go to sleep or for them to just relax in private.
